Poor
It’s ok.
- What did you like most?I found the initial reception staff member to be really nice and helpful. He found me a ground floor room which I appreciated. The distance, according to the booking info is 100m. I’m inclined to believe that this is an “as the crow flies” measurement rather than a measurement taken by an accurate distance eg how you get there from the train station (how I’d calculated it). I’ve included this comment here because it’s not a like or dislike more an observation that due to the road you have to cross, access is actually quite difficult. Something worth considering when looking at this hotel. It was awkward enough that I chose to use the Left Luggage Facility in Kings Cross rather than the hassle of getting across the road and risk missing the train. Otherwise, it is a relatively typical midrange hotel in London eg underground noises, road noises etc.
- Was there anything you didn't like?Due to being on the ground floor (which I did appreciate the gesture) there was constant noise from slamming doors, loud voices mainly from staff going in and out of the adjacent staff room making sleep virtually impossible. Additionally, the toilet seat refused to remain open which was rather annoying. The room was so cold despite trying to adjust the temperature controls, that I had to ask for an additional duvet.
